Disrupt the market as Cloud Broker #3 Example Service

You can’t build a gold mine if you stand on top of the green lawn.

The Use-Cases from my last blog gives an overview in which areas we can innovate. It means that new technologies open new opportunities in the “young” broker market. But the Roadmap for the cloud brokerage is not like a highway. We can drive from point A to point B and for sure it will not be the shortest way and we need to consider that the market is shifting over time. Cloud Broker are in a sweet spot of new technologies and juggle with public cloud offers and flexible services. The innovation power can be a combination of

  • managed services,
  • customized services and
  • migration of services through the different cloud providers.

The standard cloud brokerage use-case is Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). The availability of Patform-as-a-Service (PaaS) is resonating in the market. The third interesting point are bundles with specific application architectures. The fourth very important topic is the support of specific application models. The support of moving applications from one location to another is a side case but also very important because we are able to benchmark the different cloud providers from one single platform.​​

Companies in the Enterprise business should consider to bundle flavours, services and support.

The following figure shows an example what services we could build with CloudCenter to enable cloud brokerage.​
