Hema Marshall is the Head of Country Digitisation and Skills for Cisco UK and Ireland and serves on its executive operations board

Before taking up her current role in October 2015, Hema was the Head of Strategy and Sales Acceleration for Cisco in the UK and Ireland and was responsible for providing the leadership and direction to customers on how Cisco solutions and architectures add financial and strategic value, based upon industry and vertical knowledge, market trends, local business economics, and strategic issues.

Over the course of nine years at Cisco, Hema has undertaken marketing management roles in emerging technologies, data centre and public sector prior to leading strategy, planning and operations. In addition, she continues to head Cisco’s Skills and Talent programme in the UK and Ireland, leading the inspired approach the company has to investing in, connecting with, and inspiring tomorrow’s technology leaders.

Prior to joining Cisco in 2007 from Symbol Technologies (now a division of Motorola),

Hema spent 10 years at Symbol Technologies. Eight of those years were as EMEA Channel Programs Manager developing and executing on what is still to this day an industry recognised partner program gaining five stars in five consecutive years. During this time, Hema accumulated a vast amount of knowledge and experience that she continues to employ in her current role for Cisco.

Hema studied English Language and Literature at the University of Birmingham, but is also a speaker of Gujarati and Hindi too. She currently resides with her family in the quaint Berkshire village of Sonning and enjoys running, taking long walks with the dog and spending time with her son Hari.
