A Mothers Perspective on Work Life Balance.

1 min read

Last night my 9-year old son was working on his homework and asked to interview me. He said “what commitments do I have?” I replied, “family, my health and work.” He then asked me how do I meet these commitments? Flat out I said “its all about mommies being very effective jugglers and being good at time management!”

Work life balance has always been a high priority in Cisco’s culture not only internally but also in how we build solutions that allow our customers to Work, Live and Play. It’s about staying in touch, collaborating and innovating together for the goodness of our lives now and for our children.

Collaboration should be as simple and effective outside the organization as it is inside the organization; anywhere and anytime. This bodes well for us working mothers who juggle the priorities of work with the necessities of life. My weekly leadership meetings can have me in the office,  working from home or even at the hockey rink on a PA day!

At Cisco we make it easier for mommies (& other employees) to use personal or company-issued mobile devices as an extension of your enterprise network and applications. We provide a consistent, simple, productive user experience anywhere, anytime, to anyone using any workload on any device.

And while we can’t always be physically present for our families we sure can always ensure we stay connected.

So this Sunday, connect with your mommy on us.  Sign up for Free Webex here.
