Introducing the Mars Network Challenge (it’s out of this world)

1 min read

Greetings fellow earthlings—we need your help.

Cisco is currently on a mission 225 million kilometers away from Earth to protect the first sustainable base on Mars. Your success will be determined on how well you can navigate within the new network and bolster your skills across four different sites; from keeping the lights on for seamless connections, to tracking team vitals, and quarantining any devices deemed suspicious.

Are you up for the challenge?

We’re looking at you Network Engineers. Join your peers around the globe to monitor the bases and keep the mission running smoothly while encountering sandstorms, solar winds, and sudden intergalactic threats using the most powerful and intelligent network in the world.

While our Martian bases might be fictional, the new era of networking is very real—and the game is a clever and fun way to experience DNA Center and network automation hands-on, allowing you to create fabrics, assign policy, and deploy with just a few simple clicks.

Oh, and did I mention the prizes? Play the Mars Network Challenge, and if you get on the leaderboard, you could find yourself on the way to an upcoming Cisco Live event, or earning credits towards Cisco Advanced Services, certifications, and more.

Check out the game, and let me know what you think in the comments!

  1. Mars Network Challenge Contact
Does anyone know a contact with the Mars Network Challenge? They ran a contest that ended on 8/31/18 and the leaderboard disappeared. The site doesn't have any contacts, any thoughts?

      Hi Shubham,

Thanks for taking part in the Mars Network Challenge – we had a lot of fun putting this together and received a ton of great participation / feedback from around the globe. Apologies for any confusion generated around the game and leaderboard. Regarding the wrap-up process, you should by now have received the finalist email notifications and the team is currently working through prizing and delivery to those who qualify.

      • Thank you Team for proper response
