Countdown to the TORONTO 2015 Parapan Am Games: 100 Days Out

1 min read

We’re on countdown! In just 100 days Toronto will host the fifth ParaPan Am Games! From August 7-15, T02015 will host over 1600 para-athletes, representing 28 countries competing in 15 sports categories; making this the largest ParaPan Am Games ever held.

At Cisco we celebrate innovation, perseverance and commitment. We can’t think of a better reflection of these values than the Parapan Am Games and the athletes who bring their best to the competition. Cisco, as a Premier Partner and Official Information and Communications Technology Provider for the TO2015 Games, celebrates these inspirational men and women who set a standard for excellence.

To mark the occasion, Cisco and the Canadian Paralympic Committee will give out 100 pairs of tickets to students who take part in a live Chat with Champions on May 5th. The athletes will share their stories and talk about the impact that para equipment has had on their quest for athletic excellence.

Cisco is proud to support ParaPan Games in many ways. We are setting up interactive experience kiosks at the ParaPan Am venues that are all wheelchair accessible.

And this follows up on a great session Cisco hosted on February 11th in Toronto with Parapan Am athlete and Canadian Wheelchair Basketball team member, Robert “Bo” Hedges, who inspired students with their moves on the court. This was part of the I Can Learn program – a series of videos, workbooks and Virtual Field Trips all centered on the learning STEM concepts through Pan Am/ParaPan Am sports.

So check it out at – I Can Learn STEM.

See you at the TO2015 Games!
