There’s certainly been no shortage of exciting events happening here in Toronto recently.
This year we were lucky enough to host the annual Meeting of the Minds annual leadership summit, a conference on sustainability, innovation and urban planning which brings together the biggest and brightest leaders in the industry. Our own Rick Huijbregts was one of many attendees at the event and wrote a blog on his experience and the tour of the Cisco Smart + Connected Communities Innovation Centre, where Cisco and partners come together to develop solutions for smart cities.
We’ve already come a long way when it comes to connecting people, process, data and things to make cities even smarter and won’t be stopping anytime soon. This concept, known as the Internet of Everything (IoE) can have a tremendous impact on the way we design and implement solutions for cities.
Just in time for the conference, a recently published whitepaper by Cisco Consulting Services’ Nic Villa gives us a comprehensive overview of just how far we’ve come – and how much further we can go – with a host of insights and use cases of the IoE in action.
To learn more about the IoE and its potential for our cities, I encourage you to read the whitepaper on our website. It might spark some ideas of your own!
