World Poetry Day: The clouds and the DC

1 min read

The Clouds and the data centre wanted to work

In a beautiful hybrid way,

They took some apps, and dependency maps,

Wrapped up in a nice ELA

The Clouds hooked up to the apps in the stack,

And the workloads began to whir,

“O lovely VMs! Containers, my love,

How beautiful all of you are,

You are,

You are!

How beautiful all of you are!”

Data centre said to the clouds, “You elegant crowd!”

You’re charmingly quick to provision!

O let us be married! too long we have tarried:

But what shall we do for cohesion?”

They beavered away, for a year and a day,

Till at last, a solution was found

No longer they dithered CloudCenter delivered

They had cohesion in the palm of their hand,

Their hand,

Their hand,

They had cohesion in the palm of their hand.

“Dear CIO, are you willing to run apps at your bidding

My bidding?” Said the CIO, “I will.”

He signed off right away, and they were married next day

By the admin who lives on the hill.

They consumed at their leisure, moving apps was a pleasure,

Cost nor risk could make the board flinch

And from off-prem and cloud to on-prem, non-cloud,

Running hybrid IT was a cinch

A cinch,

A cinch,

Running hybrid IT was a cinch.
