Summary: An IDEAL recipe for success…part 1

This is a summary of a blog by Katherine Hannah, Innovation Programme Manager, IDEALondon on the Cisco BIG website.

I am very proud to be part of the Cisco BIG programme. I get to do some super creative stuff and recently co-designed, alongside my UCL and DC Thomson colleagues, an innovative programme of business support for start-ups incubated at IDEALondon. Where to start, particularly with no obvious playbook?

Well, Cisco were and are fortunate enough to have some outstanding business partners on our BIG programme, legal, marketing, PR, you name it, we have it covered. We have Annette Kramer, a self-described ‘Pitch Doctor’ a friend of IDEAL and one of the best in the business at instilling in start-ups the confidence and wherewithal to be sleek, to the point and persuasive enough to get discerning Venture Capitalists to part with their cash and invest in their businesses.
