I am extremely proud that, this past weekend, for the first time, Cisco entered a float into the Pride in London parade.
Our theme was inclusivity – and we marched in support of our LGBT+ colleagues worldwide.
We marched to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, as well as to provide visibility and support to those who may not enjoy the same liberties.
Our message was simple: At Cisco, you can bring your whole self to work and be yourself. We will support you. #BeYouWithUs
More broadly we took part in the parade to share Cisco’s industry-leading commitment to inclusivity, demonstrated by Cisco being rated the #2 Great Place to Work in the U.K. and #7 Best Workplace for Diversity in the U.S.
Proud to be #7! A testament to our collective efforts & belief that a diverse workforce matters. Thanks to our teams around the world for embracing this. Now let’s keep going – we have more to do! @Cisco #WeAreCisco @s_slate90 @FranKatsoudas https://t.co/XuUfEfzM2Q

Chuck Robbins, our CEO, publicly supports our LGBT+ employees as part of inclusion and diversity being core to Cisco.
In support of Cisco’s ‘Conscious Culture’ our Executive Vice President and Chief People officer, Fran Katsoudas, leads Cisco’s ‘Full Spectrum Diversity’ movement – which means we’re inclusive of gender, age, race, ethnicity, orientation, ability, nationality, religion, veteran status, background, culture, experience, strengths, and perspectives, across all functions, regions, and job levels.
The parade itself was a great finale to global Pride Month, which takes place in June every year. 2019 marked the 50 year anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, making it even more special for us to take part in the London parade and celebrate the impact LGBT+ people have around the world.
Earlier in June, our #CiscoPRIDE Employee Resource Organization held our 7th annual Cisco PRIDE broadcast live on YouTube. The topic this year, “Our Diverse Selves”, explored how our LGBT+ community, and allies, all bring many different selves to work each day.
Overall, June was a great Pride month at Cisco, as we marched in parades and took part in events around the world including Tokyo, Mexico City, Raleigh, San Francisco, Lisbon, and here in London.
While the Pride in London event focuses on LGBT+ inclusion, at Cisco, our pursuit of full spectrum diversity is so much more. This is one of the many things that makes me proud to work at Cisco. I invite you to join us and #BeYouWithUs.
