What Happens in Vegas: GSX FY27 Stories #3 – Staying Curious

1 min read

GSX (Global Sales Experience) is Cisco’s flagship global sales conference. It brings together sales, partner, and Customer Experience teams from around the world. This year, GSX FY27 took place in Las Vegas from August 24–27, kicking off the new fiscal year with energy and intention.

Under the theme “One Team. One Vision. One Cisco”, our teams celebrated the wins and lessons of FY26. We also set a shared ambition for the year ahead: accelerating growth, strengthening partnerships, and putting customer value at the center of Cisco’s strategy.

It’s in that spirit of One Cisco that the Cisco Portugal Blog team created this series, “What Happens in Vegas: GSX FY27 Stories” — bringing you the highlights of GSX FY27 through the voices of our own Cisconians.

Each post features one colleague’s experience from the event, told in their own words.

“Staying Curious”: Francisco on going Beyond your own Technology

Meet the colleague keeping Cisco’s AI defenses one step ahead of the threats, Francisco Figueiredo, our Customer Success Specialist for AI Defense.

How did you end up at GSX this year?

“I was invited to attend Tech Elevate/GSX together with a small group of colleagues from my team.”

What was the highlight of GSX for you?

“From a learning perspective, my highlight was the Agentic Security Workshop, where we got to see how different solutions and technologies will converge to tackle this particular challenge. On top of that, finally meeting in person with colleagues from other countries — people I collaborate with every day over Webex — is always a great experience. It really strengthens the collaboration and team spirit.”

What’s the biggest thing you learned or realized at GSX?

“It was amazing to see how much some of our solutions have evolved in just one year.”

What will you do differently in FY27 because of GSX?

“I think it’s really important to stay curious and keep an eye on what’s happening with other technologies, beyond the ones you directly work with or support.”
