What Happens in Vegas: GSX FY27 Stories #2 – On Connection

2 min read

GSX (Global Sales Experience) is Cisco’s flagship global sales conference. It brings together sales, partner, and Customer Experience teams from around the world. This year, GSX FY27 took place in Las Vegas from August 24–27, kicking off the new fiscal year with energy and intention.

Under the theme “One Team. One Vision. One Cisco”, our teams celebrated the wins and lessons of FY26. We also set a shared ambition for the year ahead: accelerating growth, strengthening partnerships, and putting customer value at the center of Cisco’s strategy.

It’s in that spirit of One Cisco that the Cisco Portugal Blog team created this series, “What Happens in Vegas: GSX FY27 Stories” — bringing you the highlights of GSX FY27 through the voices of our own Cisconians.

Each post features one colleague’s experience from the event, told in their own words.

“Finally in Person”: Anastasia on Connection, Cloud Control and GSX FY27

Meet the specialist reconnecting Cisco’s global SD-WAN community, one in-person conversation at a time — Anastasia Chaloulakou, Customer Success Specialist for SD-WAN.

How did you end up at GSX this year?

“I attended as part of the CSS team, for Tech Elevate.”

What was the highlight of GSX for you?

“Finally meeting, in person, people from account teams I’ve been working with for years. Also the Quantum, AI, and Cisco Cloud Control sessions and demos — and, of course, Steve Carell on stage being interviewed by Chuck.”

Was there a speaker or story that stuck with you?

“Honestly, all the keynotes stayed with me. They gave us a real glimpse into what our executive leadership is thinking for the year ahead, and it was great to see countries, theaters, and regions recognized for their hard work — along with top salespeople and other standout contributions. It’s meaningful to see that kind of work rewarded on such a grand stage.”

What’s the biggest thing you learned or realized at GSX?

“There’s a lot coming for Cisco Cloud Control, which already offers a great converged interface across our customers’ full portfolio. I think it will make it much easier for them to find what they need going forward, and help us focus on cross-architectural integrations and enhancements.”

What will you do differently in FY27 because of GSX?

“Having met the account teams and CXMs in person — people I’ve worked with for a long time, in many cases only remotely — will help us connect much more naturally this year, so we can do even more for our customers.”

What message would you give colleagues in Lisbon who couldn’t attend?

“The party vibe is definitely big, with so many salespeople and leaders in one place — but the learning is even bigger. It’s a great opportunity to see what’s coming during the year, try out demos, and meet the teams actually building everything our company develops.”

Any fun or unexpected moment?

“It’s impossible to sum up four full days at GSX in a few words. There was fun, learning, networking, and even a bit of cringing — all mixed together. But between the long trip, the jetlag, and the headaches, it was absolutely worth it for the experience GSX gave all of us.”
