Sheila Jordan

Senior Vice President, IT - Communication & Collaboration

Sheila Jordan is Senior Vice President of Communication and Collaboration IT at Cisco. In this position, Jordan is responsible for delivering and integrating key IT services that touch Cisco's global workforce. She oversees a worldwide team of more than 750 IT professionals.

Cisco IT addresses collaboration in five categories: video, social, mobile, apps, and content. Video collaboration solutions include Cisco TelePresence, WebEx Conferencing, and Jabber. Social technology in the enterprise is represented by Cisco's internal collaboration platform, WebEx Social, which combines social networking with communications, work groups, business information, transactional systems, and content management. In the mobile realm, Jordan is responsible for mobility services that allow employees to work the same way from both the desktop and mobile devices in Cisco's BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program. Apps are an important development area for Cisco IT, particularly in EasyApps, transactional applications that employees use on both the desktop and mobile devices. And for content, Jordan's focus is developing new ways to explore "how content finds you": search, content findability, file sharing, and enterprise document management.

In addition, Jordan has global responsibility for Cisco.com, the company's gateway for information to customers, partners, analysts, the news media, and new recruits. Cisco.com consists of 85 global sites in 41 languages with 26.4 million unique visitors each quarter. She also manages all global IT services that support Cisco's key functional areas including Finance, HR, Engineering, Corporate Positioning, and Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Outside of Cisco, Jordan serves on the Board of Directors for NextSpace, a provider of innovative physical and virtual infrastructure for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and creative professionals. She also sits on the CIO Advisory Boards for the enterprise cloud integration firm SnapLogic and the file-sharing and cloud content management firm Box.

A frequent Cisco speaker, Jordan regularly addresses the topics of collaboration, mobility, and BYOD, the "consumerization" of IT, user experience, and women's leadership. She serves as the executive sponsor for 10 Cisco key customer relationships, including several Fortune 100 companies. Under her leadership, three Cisco communication and collaboration IT services were recognized in 2013 by ComputerWorld for Laureate awards (WebEx Social and LifeConnections healthcare platform) and for InformationWeek 500 innovation (Virtual Events). Jordan was named by CIO Magazine as "One to Watch" in 2011.

Jordan joined Cisco in 2005 from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where she was Senior Vice President of Destination Disney. A key architect of the strategic planning process, she was instrumental in integrating marketing, sales, and services across the organization as Disney transformed its business from a product-centric to a guest-centric organization.

Jordan holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and master of business administration degree from Florida Institute of Technology.
