Senior Vice President of Cisco's U.S. Public Sector Organization

Patrick S. Finn is Senior Vice President of Cisco's U.S. Public Sector Organization, where he leads Cisco's growth and integrated business plan for state and local governments, educational institutions at all levels, and the U.S. federal government. His team works to enable the transformation of how the public sector serves, communicates, educates, and protects by leveraging the network.

Working closely with various Cisco groups, Finn manages the development and deployment of technology solutions that enhance national defense and education systems, improve citizen services, secure information, and help healthcare providers. With more than 25 years of technology and business experience, Finn is a strong advocate for the public sector applying information technology from any mobile device to the data center to increase collaboration, innovation, and productivity.

Finn leads an integrated team of more than 2000 employees who focus on customer transitions, industry transformations, and Cisco innovations in areas including cloud computing, cybersecurity, video collaboration, and healthcare. Their efforts enable Cisco to lead in the transformation to a 21st-century public sector and reach $5 billion in annual revenue.

A 16-year veteran of Cisco, Finn most recently led the U.S. Federal Organization for four years. He has also served as Vice President of Vertical Markets for the United States and Canada, where he led a cross-functional growth strategy for state and local government, education, healthcare, retail, sports and entertainment, and real estate markets. In addition, he was Vice President of the New York Metro Area, where he was responsible for all global and national sales, support, and engineering for Cisco customers headquartered in New York City and Long Island, including many leading financial services companies. During the events of September 11, 2001, Finn's team of Cisco and partner employees focused on supporting New York City customers including government, first responders, and financial service institutions.

Prior to joining Cisco, Finn was responsible for Pepsi Cola International's worldwide infrastructure, consulting, and network applications. He also held various sales leadership positions at IBM Corporation.

Finn serves on the Cisco Foundation board that provides guidance to Cisco's philanthropic investments. He is also highly committed to Inwood House, which improves the lives of inner city children through education and positive work experience. He has also served as a board member for the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering.

Finn holds a bachelor of business administration degree in management information systems from Pace University and a master of science degree from Polytechnic University.
