KPM leads delivery at the Global Delivery Centre for Cisco. He joined CISCO in 2010 after six years of business leadership in the IT services industry, first with Persistent Systems and later with MindTree, during which time he built a team of sales, solutions, operations and software engineering-leadership of the team of over a thousand engineers focused on providing product engineering services in the portal and web technology solution space to companies in US and Europe.

Prior to tenures in the IT industry, KPM was with the Indian Army for 25 years. He graduated from the National Defence Academy into the Corps of Signals. He had a one year stint with the United Nations in Angola as a Military Observer, overseeing post-elections political processes in 1994.

Other roles include a wide range of command and staff appointments both in Signals and General Staff. He was a GSO1 in the Military Operations Directorate at Army HQ during Operation Vijay and commanded an Infantry Division Signal Regiment during operations in Operation Parakram in 2002. KPM has also been an Instructor at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering as a Faculty in the Department of Computer Engineering.

KPM is also a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College at Wellington and a post graduate in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.He is a Young Scholar awardee from Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1987.

He led the team which conceptualized and developed SATHI (Situation Awareness Tactical Handheld Information device) in 2001 for use by infantry in CI and IS Operations.

An author and contributor in areas of Information and Non-Lethal Warfare to journals like USI and Telematics, eGov, and Mint newspaper, KPM is also a keen follower of Wargame theory and development, and developer of First Battle BC, a Battalion to Corps Wargame.
