Since years the Cisco Aironet 1500 Series Access Points are known in the industry for their very robust build and strong functionality.
The Cisco Aironet 1570 Series Access Points are now delivering full 802.11ac performance in an Outdoor environment with no comparison.
Do you know the Cisco Aironet 3700 Series Access Point?
If yes, you also already know the basics of the AP1570 – but there are some enhancements for this Outdoor AccessPoint.
As a result of this, the AP1570 does support very useful features like CleanAir, ClientLink 3.0 and HDX.
Additionally the system allows you to:
– define via Software, if you want to use Uni-Band or Dual-Band-Antennas.
– add an GPS-Receiver for exact AP-Coordinates- Outdoor-proven Module to add additional functionality in future
There are 3 models going to be available:
– one model with integrated antennas and DOCSIS3.0 cable-modem
– one model with external antennas and DOCSIS3.0 cable-modem
– one model with external antennas and AC-Power

Availability
Orderability should be turned on in the following days and First Customer Shipment (FCS) is expected by end of November 2014.
The product will requires at least SW-Version AireOS 8.0.100.0 (usually referred just as 8.0 ) on WLAN-Controllers, which is also downloadable from www.cisco.com.
The autonomous IOS image for this AccessPoint is scheduled for a later date.
It can also be used in a Converged Access Environment with the upcoming IOS-XE 3.7, but please be aware that Mesh- and FlexConnect-Modes will not be supported in such a configuration.
