Erick Caron

Erick Caron joined early 2019, the Country Digital Acceleration Team of Cisco, Leader of the National Critical Infrastructure track. Erick was born and raised in Canada and has Canadian and Swiss nationalities.

More than 25 years of experience at Swiss and international levels in R&D, business development, and marketing of high-technology products. Held senior positions with start-up, mid-stage and large multi-national corporations; lived and worked in Canada, China/Asia Pacific, Switzerland.

Erick started his career with AT&T and its spin-offs Lucent Technologies and Avaya prior to moving to Geneva to establish the Lucent Geneva Head office and held Sales Management roles in EMEA/APAC.

As of 2002 Erick moved back to Canada as a Business Partner of the International Institute of Telecommunication (I.I.T.) and led the IPO on the stock market of a Canadian high-tech company, where he successfully served the position of CEO. Later on, he served as CEO of Cognosense SA and his subsidiaries in China, an artificial intelligence Swiss software company.

As of 2011, joined as Director for Groupe E SA, one of the major electricity companies based in Fribourg, to successfully build and drive the entire launch of their new subsidiaries “netplus+”, a new FTTH network provider.

Prior joining Cisco, Erick was an Entrepreneur in residence at Swisscom for their AI, Data & Analytics division.

Beside his professional career, Erick is a Hockey Canada certified Coach and married with 2 young adults.
