Cisco wins Data News Award as Infrastructure Innovator

1 min read

Data News has awarded Cisco with the 2020 Data News Award for Infrastructure Innovator of the Year. The jury praised the continuous innovation of Cisco’s Infrastructure platform, the ease of use of our equipment as referenced by many customers and Cisco’s focus on strong and integrated security. To us, this award honors the hard work of the past years and confirms the need for powerful networking technology and parallel focus on stable and secure connections. We are very much delighted that our integrated strategy and focus are appreciated by an ever-wider audience.

Network innovation paves way for sustained growth

According to Data News’ chief editor, it is this inclusive approach and Cisco’s multi-domain network architecture vision that persuaded the jury to choose Cisco. Moreover, Cisco’s VPN services stood strong during the lockdown and the work from home spike earlier this year. Despite a fierce competition, Cisco Belux has been able to service its customers to overcome their IT challenges during the corona crisis and increase or at least equal the productivity of their remote employees.

The jury motivated their decision: “ICT infrastructure is core and constantly evolving. This award wants to applaud companies who successfully manage to innovate parts of their on-premise cloud-based or hybrid infrastructure platforms in storage, computing and networking thus making next-generation application for customers a reality.”
