Jordan Hobday
I’m Jordan Hobday and I’m currently a Systems Engineer within the UK&I Commercial team here at Cisco, aligned to many financial and law firms within the city of London. I came into Cisco through their graduate programme back in 2017 and prior to this I studied Computer Science at the University of Sussex in Brighton. My dissertation was about algorithm optimisation and visualising complexity problems, illustrating how various input sizes and type of algorithm used can directly affect running time even when you have unlimited computing resources.
I’ve always had a passion for coding and programmability from an early age and champion this within my current team at Cisco. I’ve worked on multiple programmability projects in Cisco ranging from using Meraki location analytics to alert staff of returning customers as well as the Aironet Developer Program to showcase how the developer module on a 3800AP can be leveraged to give a greater level of interaction with our access points.
More recently I passed my DevNet Associate exam as well as being a member of the DevNet 500. I aim to get the DevNet Professional certification by the end of the year.”
